Onsdag 3/4/15
Last wednesday we had a field trip to the Dala Horse factory in a nearby village. We met the man whose father carved the first dala horse and sold them as toys. Now they are a cultural symbol of Sweden. Every Dala Horse is still hand carved in the Dalarna province.
For lunch we were invited to our Swedish teacher Anna's house near the factory. She lives in the cutest old cottage in one of the oldest villages in Sweden over 600 years old-Nusnäs Färnäs. We ate sausages cooked in her backyard.
